Dollar Tree Stores in Mt. Holly, NJ is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our team. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team of associates, focusing on merchandising and processing freight to support daily store operations.

You will ensure store standards, safety, and customer service while handling duties such as open/close procedures, asset protection, and adherence to company policies. The role emphasizes teamwork in a high-energy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with receipt/return of merchandise and freight flow according to standards.
• Order and stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and maintain planograms.
• Support monthly Sales Planners and merchandising.
