Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, alongside daily store operations.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment for customers, associates and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
