Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Fort Collins to support the Store Manager in leading a team and driving merchandising and freight flow.

You will assist with daily store operations, stock management, and maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable store environment. The role emphasizes strong communication and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing procedures, asset protection, policy adherence, and implementing monthly sales plans to

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform thorough daily activity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs to productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise accordingly.
• Plan monthly Sales Planners and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Power Panels with sales items.
