Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Colorado Springs seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and freight processing. You will assist with daily store functions, ensure policy adherence, and maintain clean, safe, and presentable facilities.

You will help manage stock, freight flow, and sales-floor effectiveness while planning monthly Sales Planners and maintaining customer-focused service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt/return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise to productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
