Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Sylva, NC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing. You will supervise daily store functions, ensure safety and policies, and help maintain stockrooms and sales floors to company standards.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior retail and management experience preferred, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
