Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager in Houston, TX to drive merchandising and store operations, ensuring accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment.

You will oversee truck processing, planogram sets, and visual standards, while planning workloads with store leadership. Responsibilities include SOP adherence, inventory routines, Ship from Store, RTV/ASN processing, and staff coaching.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards and accountability for store conditions/results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unload, sort, and flow merchandise to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and merchandising sets on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment including backroom and floor.
• Manage inventory control for product accuracy and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets with compliant signage and product placement.
• Complete price changes accurately and timely; maintain pricing integrity.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and accurate order processing.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage shrink prevention and asset protection practices.
• Train and coach team members through onboarding and ongoing development.
• Partner to maintain strong asset protection practices.
