Overall Job Summary
The Field Activity Support Team (FAST) Team Member is responsible for traveling to stores within an assigned district to own and execute "start to finish" variable tasks such as planograms, as well as provide support for other tasks including merchandise and fixture assembly, and the maintenance of all signage. The FAST Team Member will interact with customers and Team Members, while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Communicate proactively and regularly with District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome.
- Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain visual merchandise standards.
- Perform store specific measurements.
- Complete store layout initiatives.
- Perform accurate cycle counts.
- Complete Tractor Way top cap process.
- Hang store signage.
- Assemble merchandise, fixtures and PDQs.
- Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.
- Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover needs, Recommend solutions, Ask to add value and appreciate the customer.
- Ensure a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition.
- Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., Day After Thanksgiving).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities
- Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
- Must be self-directed and able to complete assignments with little assistance.
Working Conditions
- Generally working inside with moderate noise.
- Work shifts vary, generally no less than 4 hours, may exceed 8 hours.
- Traveling between store locations in personal vehicle required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines.
- Indoor and outdoor surfaces, lighting, and temperature are adequate.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel as required.
- Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with equipment.
- Lift or reach merchandise overhead occasionally.
- Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, climb ladders.
- Access all store areas safely.
- Operate store equipment.
- Read, write, and count accurately.
- Handle contact with birds/poultry.
- Complete training successfully.
- Operate equipment like dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register.
- Sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 50 pounds, driving.
- Move merchandise throughout the store.
- Maintain physical and mental stamina for store movement.
