Job summary

Belk is seeking a Merchandising Team Manager to lead a team in execution of store operations, merchandising, and facilities activities that enhance the customer experience and drive sales. The role collaborates across operations, visual merchandising, and selling teams to elevate presentations, manage deliveries, inventory, and store fulfillment.

You will plan workloads, coach associates, and foster a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Analytical mindset to support data-driven decisions for store performance.
Ability to mentor and coach team members to improve results.
Strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Self-directed with minimal supervision and proactive problem solving.
Comfortable with technology and store systems to improve operations.

Responsibilities

Own store objectives and key metrics to drive profitability and customer experience.
Lead back-of-house operations including receiving, replenishment, and fulfillment.
Direct front-of-house activities: product placement, floor sets, pricing, and promotions.
Collaborate with visual merchandising and selling teams on presentations and planograms.
Plan weekly workload and forecast receipts and labor hours using planning tools.
Coach and develop associates; conduct performance conversations and interviews.
Recruit and onboard new talent; ensure onboarding completion.
Maintain inventory accuracy and asset protection compliance.
