Job summary

The TJ Maxx store in Orleans, MA is seeking an energetic retail associate who can deliver excellent customer service while managing merchandise flow. You will help train teammates, ensure proper tagging and organization, and support front-line operations with strong communication and adaptability.

Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, merchandising to plan, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing directions.
• Team player with ability to train others.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Executes receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively.
• Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean store.
• Orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes merchandise on the sales floor.
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods.
• Monitors productivity and coaches the team as necessary.
• Organizes and rotates back stock for replenishment.
• Maintains signage standards and backroom organization.
• Ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable.
• Communicates priorities to management and Associates; provides progress updates.
• Participates in store shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
