Job summary

McClatchy Media is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to service products across multiple stores in the Ann Arbor area. This on-site role involves travel between accounts, with travel time paid, and a typical 32–40 hour week.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, reporting to the Supervisor of Merchandising. You will manage shelf presentation, stock replenishment, and store liaison while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months-1 year merchandising experience required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Professional.
• Adherence to the company’s attendance.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Experience with Movista and/or other company-required tools.
• Personal cell phone and mobile device.
• Experience with Word, Excel, the internet, and email.

Responsibilities

• 75% Merchandising: merchandise products in retail stores; replenish stock per guidelines; assemble shelves and displays.
• 75% Merchandising: service stores per schedule and obtain supervisor approval for overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information.
• 25% Team Leadership: train merchandisers and assist with payroll/reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
