Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to collaborate with the Merchandising Supervisor, train and coach staff, and schedule merchandiser coverage across accounts. The role emphasizes frontline leadership and hands-on merchandising responsibilities.

The position requires a minimum of one year in related fields, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain PIT certification. Travel to various customer locations is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor, or related field is required.
• Prior merchandising and leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to obtain PIT certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Trains new and existing merchandisers in standard merchandising activities and procedures.
• Serves as the point of contact for Merchandising Supervisor on their days off.
• Monitors daily merchandising activities in Pace while in the field using an iPad.
• Conducts weekly audits in stores and weekly check-ins with merchandisers.
• Covers open merchandiser routes and fulfills daily activities completed by a merchandiser as needed.
• Ensure teammates receive proper safe working techniques and comply with company policies.
