Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Wichita, KS is seeking a Merchandiser Lead to work with the Merchandising Supervisor, training staff and scheduling to merchandise accounts as needed.

This role requires hands-on supervision, coaching, store audits, route coverage, and ensuring safe working practices. The position pays $20.00 per hour with benefits for full-time status; evening, weekend, and some holiday hours are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, with at least one year of work experience.
• At least one year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor, or related field.
• Prior merchandising and leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to obtain PIT certification upon hire.
• Basic computer and technology skills; comfortable with a smart phone, iPad and/or laptop.
• Flexible with work hours; evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Trains new and existing merchandisers in standard merchandising activities and procedures; conducts onboarding training and retraining as needed.
• Acts as point of contact for Merchandising Supervisor on days off; handles calls, schedule changes and customer concerns.
• Monitors daily merchandising activities using Pace and an iPad during fieldwork.
• Conducts weekly store audits and weekly check-ins with merchandisers.
• Covers open merchandiser routes and fulfills daily tasks as needed.
• Ensures safe working techniques and proper equipment availability; reports unsafe conditions; follows company policies.
