Dollar Tree in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the store manager in leading a dynamic team and focusing on merchandising and processing freight. The role involves assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, and protecting assets while adhering to safety guidelines.

You will maintain store areas to company standards, process directives, and ensure a clean, presentable environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
