Job summary

Randa Apparel & Accessories invites interns to join the Merchandising division for a 10-week program in New York, assisting the Design & Merchandising teams and gaining exposure to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale.

You will work on-site, learn through daily collaboration, and participate in a group project mentored by leaders across our organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing/Business Majors a plus
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
• Must be available to work on-site, Monday through Friday
• Able to commit to the full duration of the internship program (10 weeks)
• Looking to gain hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to develop the seasonal product line that addresses customer needs and specific brand visions.
• Reviewing selling reports and shopping the competitive retail landscape to identify white space opportunities and bring new product ideas to fruition.
• Assisting with/ line sheet and sample preparation for customer and licensor meetings
• Entering specs into our Product Lifestyle Management (PLM) System to keep track of samples, costing, and adoption of new styles.
• Checking in and organizing development samples from the factories
• Working with/ International suppliers directly through daily email communication

Pay: $20.00 Per Hour

Dates:June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027

Schedule: In-Office, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / 30-minute lunch every day

Merchandising Intern Duties and Responsibilities

Project

Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and presents a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
