Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Belleville, MI to work with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering a positive shopping experience through effective merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with all store operations, perform opening and closing duties, protect assets, and maintain a safe, presentable environment while collaborating with leaders and customers.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Process receipt/return of DSD merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise is in place.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
