Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to help lead a team and oversee merchandising and freight processing.

You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, uphold store standards, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for customers and associates. Ideal candidates bring prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activity updates
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the store
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated items
• Keep sales floor merchandising effective
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items
• Implement monthly Sales Planners
