Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Danville, VA, is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team. You will work with the Store Manager on merchandising, freight processing, and daily operations to deliver a positive guest experience.

You will assist with stock, planograms, and team leadership while helping ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and neat presentation.
• Assist Store Manager with duties: process receipt/return of DSD merchandise, manage freight flow, stock merchandise, ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
