Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership in Woodbridge, VA. You will support the Store Manager, lead a team of associates, and focus on merchandising and freight processing to deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will help maintain store standards and execute monthly sales plans.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
