Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in California is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve.

You will focus on merchandising and processing freight to keep shelves stocked and accessible. You will support store operations, assist with opening/closing, maintain safety and cleanliness, and ensure friendly, professional interactions with customers and colleagues while helping to drive

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and work in a high-energy team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities and maintain a clean store.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow, merchandise orders, and sales planning.
