Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while supporting day-to-day store operations.

The role emphasizes maintaining store standards, safety, and customer-friendly interactions, with opportunities to plan and execute monthly sales activities.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as part of daily tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean; manage bathrooms, floors, and waste.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise including frozen/refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clips, panels, and sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
