Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in New Jersey to collaborate with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive customer experiences. You will focus on merchandising, freight processing, inventory control, and maintaining store standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires prior retail/management experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet physical demands.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Maintain a sales-effective sales floor.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
