Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Hannibal, Missouri is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You will assist with store functions, open/close procedures, protect assets, maintain stockroom and sales floor, and support monthly planning while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties as part of the role.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
