Job summary

FreshDirect in New York, NY is seeking a Merchandising Analyst to support item setup and ensure accuracy of new item paperwork while coordinating cross-functional merchandising planning. You will help with product sourcing, eCommerce content planning, and the grocery supply chain.

The role requires 1 year of retail or eCommerce experience, strong organizational skills, and Excel proficiency to deliver timely, accurate item data and support promotions.

Qualifications

• Analytically-minded with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel.
• 1 year of experience in retail, eCommerce, or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Fresh Merchandising.
• Manages item submission paperwork accuracy for category team, and provide to them for timeline entry into pricing system.
• Inputs new data into forms, and works with Master Data team to facilitate new item setup and any needed product Master Data changes.
• Processes changes to data required and maintains log of actions related to change.
• Maintains department records and files.
• As necessary, supports cross-functional projects such as promotional execution, holiday planning, eCommerce content planning, and other Merchandising initiatives.
• Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.
• Assists with the validation of vendor submitted deals.

The Role

The Merchandising Analyst performs diverse tasks in the Merchandising department. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of new item paperwork for the category team and managing the new item setup process. The Merchandising Analyst must be highly organized and skilled in cross-functional work, as they will work to provide project management support for numerous critical merchandising planning processes. This role supports a passionate team of food experts. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about merchandising, including product sourcing and selection, eCommerce site selling strategies, and the grocery supply chain.
