Job summary

Grand BK is seeking a dedicated store operations and merchandising professional in New Jersey. You will review weekly sales performance, suggest orders and restocking, and propose markdowns to maximize sales across categories.

The role also entails promoting new items from the SCM team, maintaining HQ-standard store quality, and supporting improvement projects with store analysis and cross-store communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• General office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of grocery retail operations and logistics.
• 3+ years of grocery experience preferred; 3+ years as merchandiser or sales rep.
• Bilingual in Korean and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly store sales performance.

• Recommend sale items and displays to boost category sales.

Job description

• Review weekly sale performance of stores.
• Suggest orders and restocking of missing/shortage items.
• Suggest markdowns, price changes, or clear-outs on slow-moving items.
• Suggest sale items and main display items to maximize sales of various categories.
• Promote new items suggested by the SCM team.

Store Operation Supervision

• Maintain store quality results by enforcing HQ standards.
• Rotate sale items by best-selling items to provide a fresh atmosphere.
• Liaise between store and HQ on ad hoc issues.
• Conduct store quality checks to fulfill customer needs (better condition, more variety, reasonable price).
• Support store managers with store analysis on operations and efficiency.

Customer Relationship Management

• Act as a communicator between stores and HQ by addressing customer issues.
• Conduct store analysis to better consult store managers on the store's strengths and weaknesses.
• Review marketability of new items and provide feedback to improve SCM buyer's purchasing decisions.
• Review and provide feedback on special events and promotions.
• Conduct trend analysis and identify areas of improvement.
• Support and participate in assigned continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Associate degree and above preferred
• General office work skill (Excel, Power point)
• Strong Understanding of grocery retail operations
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics preferred
• Proven 3+ years of work experience in Grocery is preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a Merchandiser or Sales representative
• Bilingual in Korean and English preferred
