Job summary

Canada Dry, a member of the Honickman Companies, is seeking a Merchandiser to join our team at our Norfolk, VA facility. You will merchandise and service assigned accounts, build displays, rotate products, and maintain shelf prices to meet company standards.

You will drive your own vehicle to call on accounts, maintain strong relationships, and participate in meetings and training sessions. Weekend work may be required and benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Two years merchandising/sales and/or customer contact experience.
• MS Office including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shelving, rotate products and verify correct shelf prices.
• Build, merchandise and maintain all secondary and promotional displays to conform to company standards.
• Merchandise and fill all coolers, vendors and rack to standard on every visit (if applicable).
• Call on each account as scheduled.
• Create, develop and maintain a strong rapport in every account.
• Manage, rotate and maintain back-stock where applicable.
• Collect and organize damaged product into designated area.
• Call in all customer requests to your immediate supervisor.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and be an active participant.
• Attend all training sessions.
• Follow all company and customer safety guidelines and policies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to sales goals by merchandising and servicing assigned accounts.

Other roles and responsibilities include:

• Maintain shelving, rotate products and verify correct shelf prices.

Experience, Education, Certification:

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.

• Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
• MS Office including Word and Excel.

Requirements/Background:

• Pre-employment drug and background screening.
• Own a vehicle with valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proof of valid car insurance, including the declarations page.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Merchandisers are required to use their own personal vehicles and maintain state minimum vehicle insurance.

Canada Dry offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.28 with opportunity for overtime and holiday premium pay. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision.
