Job summary

The Sabres arena is seeking a merchandise seller for game days and non-hockey events in Buffalo. You will set up displays, manage inventory, process sales and credit card settlements, and ensure clean, inviting stands.

You will deliver top-tier customer service, adhere to arena policies, maintain a professional appearance, stock products, and perform related duties as needed while working evenings, weekends, and holidays, with commission opportunities that enhance earnings.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service/retail sales experience preferred.
• POS system experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Summary

This role is in charge of the selling of merchandise at the arena for Sabres games and non-hockey events.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the set-up and display of merchandise location, selling product, stand cleanliness, performing inventories and settling credit cards sales at the conclusion of each event.
• Ensure that customers are serviced at the highest level of customer service.
• Responsible for following arena and department policies and procedures
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as they become evident.
• Product knowledge and stock replenishment.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service/retail sales experience is preferred.
• Point of Sale Terminal (POS) system experience preferred.
• Be able to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00 plus commission.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• This role operations in both an office setting and in a live events setting. Live event coverage does consist of being around loud stadium noises and crowds.
• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, run, reach, kneel, and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. Candidate must be able to lift and move boxes and merchandise of 50lbs.
