Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Avon, CT is seeking a part-time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution in-store, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will lead workload planning with store leadership to align staffing and execution to business needs, oversee in-stock optimization, pricing changes, ship-from-store fulfillment, RTV/ASN processing, and training to maintain a clean, customer-ready store.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and company programs.
• Execute and maintain SOPs, policies, and standards for store conditions.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and merchandise flow to floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising to standards.
• Maintain backroom organization and sales floor recovery for a clean store.
• Manage inventory control, product accuracy and stock movement.
• Coordinate ad sets, pricing changes, and ship-from-store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper inventory adjustments.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Partner to uphold Asset Protection practices.
