Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team and create positive experiences for the communities we serve, focusing on merchandising and processing freight.

You will assist with daily store functions, open/close procedures, asset protection, and adherence to safety policies while maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and sales-effective floor.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Ensure cleanliness and a presentable store environment.
• Work with Store Manager on assigned duties such as freight flow and stocking.
