Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training high-potential staff.
• Help manage department scheduling to boost engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Uphold food safety standards and work safely with full accountability.
• Lead in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays when applicable.
• Promote Meijer culture and inclusivity across the team.
• Operate a register and cash handling as needed; operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to support goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as required.
