Job summary

The Stocker at Cavender’s is responsible for supporting store operations by accurately stocking merchandise, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring the sales floor and backroom are clean, organized, and well-stocked.

They help prepare merchandise for sale, maintain store standards, and work collaboratively with the store team to ensure an exceptional customer experience and efficient merchandise flow.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately stock and organize merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely use store equipment in accordance with company policies.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to comprehend basic instructions and apply daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Accurately stock merchandise to the sales floor and backroom following standards.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, tagging, and label placement before stocking.
• Organize back stock and merchandise to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Assist with processing merchandise, transfers, special orders, and returns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and backroom.
• Assist with merchandising projects, floor moves, and display maintenance.
• Report safety concerns to store management.
• Report to work on time and maintain a neat appearance.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise or directing them to the right associate.
• Perform other assigned store tasks.
