Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods in Glendale, CA is seeking a motivated team member to execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing and excellent customer service.

You will engage with customers, keep the store organized, and model outstanding service as part of a dynamic team. Responsibilities include coordinating truck deliveries, training Associates, tagging merchandise, and supporting the flow from backroom to sales floor.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
• Ensures Associates complete tasks according to store plan; prioritizes as needed.
• Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary.
• Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Maintains backroom cleanliness and recovery standards.
• Compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs where applicable.
• Communicates priorities and provides progress updates.
• Provides feedback and recognition to staff.
• Partners with Management on training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Promotes safety awareness and a safe environment.
