Goodwill-of-Greater-Washington- seeks a motivated team member for a high-energy retail environment. You will manage donated merchandise from intake to display, sort and process items, and prepare them for the sales floor to help shoppers find great bargains.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions.
• Able to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
• Able to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs for long shifts.
• Six months of prior work experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Transfer merchandise from containers to the sales floor per guidelines.
• Stay informed about brand-name and designer labels.
• Prepare items for the sales floor; evaluate quality, pricing, salability.
• Count items processed and record on the official log.
• Sort apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories.
• Place items on hangers and transport to the sales floor with grouped items.
• Count clothing pieces and record on Daily Hanger Report.
• Follow safety practices and report hazards to the on-duty manager.
• Maintain productivity quotas and keep a neat uniform and appearance.
• Assist in collecting and stocking donated merchandise.
• Provide excellent service to donors and customers.
• Perform other duties as directed.
