Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

This Merchandise Purchasing Coordinator focuses on the purchase of resale (foods and hard goods) items, primarily dealing with the placing, tracking, and necessary follow up on purchase orders placed by the buyers of Stonewall Kitchen. This position supports the Merchandise team by being the primary point of contact and communication between the vendor’s shipping departments, Stonewall Kitchen’s Distribution Center, and the Merchandising Team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate the placing, and tracking, and receiving of purchase and production orders, updating receipt dates as necessary, and make sure stakeholders are aware of relevant changes in status.
  2. Manage intercompany transfer orders.
  3. Track international shipments and file/prepare necessary documentation
  4. Act as a primary point of contact and communication between the vendor, Stonewall Kitchen Distribution Center, and Merchandising Team for resale food and raw material items
  5. Responsible for the vendor compliance process, both updating the documentation in the vendor compliance guide and ensuring that vendors receive and abide by Stonewall Kitchen’s guidelines (responsible for charge-backs and RTV’s as necessary).
  6. Work with Finance Department and vendor to resolve financial issues related to purchase orders (ie pricing discrepancies, shipping costs, etc.).
  7. Prepare weekly status reports and other adhoc reporting as requested.
  8. May be required to assist other departments seasonally.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Perform other job duties as assigned
  2. Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  3. May be required to exceed normally scheduled hours at certain points of the year
  4. May be required to assist other departments seasonally, which may entail standing for long periods of time

Shift is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm., with the possibility of remote.

Rate of pay is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Requirements:

  1. Associate’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent experience
  2. Excellent computer and analytical skills required (must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  3. Must be detailed oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  4. Effective communication skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of internal and external contacts
  5. Must be able to work in an ever-changing environment and prioritize job functions daily
  6. Will be required to climb stairs to reach work space and must have the ability to sit for long periods of time
