Sabres & ROCH - Buffalo Sabres is seeking an Merchandise Operations Manager to oversee all events and activities at KeyBank Center, focusing on guest experience and daily operations. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Merchandise and requires strong leadership of a ten-plus-person team.

The position demands proven supervision, merchandising strategy, POS management, and collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or retail management or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant supervisory experience overseeing a team of 10+.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong time management skills.
• Proficiency in Shopify and/or Retail POS / inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, assign work, appraise performance, and resolve problems.
• Oversee store maintenance, stocking, organization and flow.
• Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies.
• Manage point of sale operations and oversight.
• Address guest complaints promptly and effectively.
• Prepare daily/weekly schedules for associates.
• Conduct inventory counts and maintain controls.
• Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, HR.
• Ensure compliance with guest experience, security and policy.
• Oversee event setup/breakdown for games/concerts.
• Identify process improvements and KPI benchmarks.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
