The Michaels Companies is seeking a Merchandise Assistant at the Irving, TX corporate office to support product flow and merchandising execution. You will assist with item setup, PO tracking, and promotions while coordinating with internal teams and vendors.

You will help with category and assortment planning, data accuracy, pricing strategies, and preparing reports to monitor performance. This role requires strong attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or relevant business experience is required.
• Internship or retail experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with data entry.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent physical movement including standing, stooping, bending, use of ladder at times and lifting.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist in item setup, purchase order tracking, and promotional execution across merchandising processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
• Support category strategy and assortment planning with data, samples, and presentations.
• Coordinate product data accuracy and pricing across systems; manage promotions and markdowns.
• Track sales, margins, and inventory; assist in preparing financial reports.
