Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager in Biddeford, ME to lead merchandising and store operations, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready environment through strong workload planning and inventory management, while coaching teammates and upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort with fast-paced store environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs for compliance
• Ensure policies and standards are executed by the team
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership
• Oversee truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow to sales floor
• Plan workload and priority tasks with store leadership
• Maintain in-stock levels with Store-In-Stock Optimization
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards
• Support a clean, organized store environment including backroom
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, and shrink reduction
• Execute ad sets, price changes, and ship-from-store processes
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and coaching
• Partner in asset protection practices to reduce shrink
