Job summary

The TJ Maxx store in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Merchandising and Receiving Associate to help execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensure efficient processing, and deliver an excellent customer experience. You will work with a team to keep the sales floor stocked, tagged, and organized, while supporting training and safety programs.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year in retail and 6 months in leadership, strong communication, organization, and the ability to multitask and lift heavy

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience
• 6 months of leadership experience
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards and ensure efficient processing.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and provide an excellent customer experience.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure flow of goods to sales floor.
• Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plan and priorities.
• Monitor team productivity and coach as needed.
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain signage standards and backroom organization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, recycling and applicable waste programs.
