Hot Topic is seeking an organized Merchandise Coordinator to support the Buying team with administrative tasks, sample tracking, and PO processing to keep orders moving with vendors and the DC. The role is hybrid, based at our Southern California HQ, and requires strong Excel skills, solid time management, and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach to meet campaign deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Strong analytical and numeric abilities with Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Respond promptly and thoroughly to customer requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team oriented.
• Proactive problem solving and accountability.
• Passion for pop culture and fashion trends.

Responsibilities

• Process, turn in, and track all top samples for the website
• Coordinate samples and meet deadlines for campaigns and mailers
• Process Purchase Orders
• Input and reconcile store price changes
• Update POs when necessary (dates, prices, descriptions)
• Follow up on incoming and late orders
• Set up and assist in meetings with vendors
• Perform other assigned duties
