Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
• Participate in hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives and related communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Help manage freight flow and meet productivity standards.
• Assist with ordering, stocking merchandise, and maintaining stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily and assist in planning and merchandising efforts, including Clip Strips and Power Panels.
• Support the planning and implementation of monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
