Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
• Process all SSC corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Handle store-related requests and communications delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
• Support the management of freight flow and meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering, stocking merchandise, and maintaining stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Assist in planning, merchandising, and maintaining clip strips and power panels with sales-effective items.
• Help plan and implement monthly sales planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
