Responsible for assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
4. Follow all policies and safety guidelines
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors
6. Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
7. When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives and related communications
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
10. Help manage freight flow and meet or exceed productivity standards
11. Assist with ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items
12. Maintain stockroom organization
13. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
14. Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items
15. Assist in planning and implementing monthly Sales Planners

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience

• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
