Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
2. Assisting with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
3. Supporting all store functions and daily activities as directed.
4. Performing opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
5. Helping to protect and secure company assets, including cash.
6. Adhering to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
7. Maintaining a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
8. Keeping all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
9. Taking supervisory responsibility for hourly associates when the Store Manager is absent.
10. Processing all corporate directives and store communications.
11. Assisting with merchandise receipt, return, and freight management.
12. Ensuring the sales floor is sales-effective daily and maintaining stockroom organization.
13. Planning and implementing merchandising strategies and sales plans.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Prior retail and management experience preferred.
2. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
3. Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs of merchandise.
4. Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
