Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with merchandising and freight processing tasks delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, assume supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Manage freight flow in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist with ordering and stocking merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items.
• Maintain stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
• Help plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
