Job summary

Mercantile Hall, a wedding and event venue in Burlington, WI, seeks part-time event staff to assist with guest greeting, event setup, and light duties during Fri-Sun shifts. Mercantile Hall is a wedding and event space located in Burlington, Wisconsin and a proud member of the BEDO Brands collection of businesses alongside 10 South Venue and Bon Bon Belle Bridal Boutique. We are excited to share our love for service, weddings, and hospitality with couples for years to come and invite you to join the magic of making other people shine in one of the most fulfilling weekend roles there is!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and thank guests upon arrival
• Set tables and chairs for events or tours
• Hang additional lighting as required
• Hang customer items as required
• Set out linens and fold napkins
• Restock bathroom and kitchen supplies
• Clear out kitchen for caterers
• Pack up guest items if required
• Set ceremony chairs as directed by Event Manager
• Set outdoor furniture (screens, tables, chairs, heaters)
• Light candles
• Greet and direct guests
• Garbage removal
• Move ceremony chairs
• Other preparation as delegated by Event Manger
• At the end of the night, assist with putting away chairs, tables, and other furniture

Requirements

Who do you have to be?

• Someone with an existing full-time or part-time job with flexibility to work at our venue as well
• Experienced in hospitality and/or customer service
• Lives within 20 minutes of the venue
• Likes the idea of exercising while working
• Able to stand for the entirety of a shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Converses well with guests
• Works well within a team but does not need a team to succeed
