Job summary

The Axel Group, LLC is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent for a major multi-year life-sciences project in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on leading field operations, coordinating complex MEP systems, and ensuring high-quality installation on a technically advanced site.

You will manage subcontractors, review plans, and drive commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities on a three-year program with strong relocation potential for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience with MEP responsibilities.
• Experience as an MEP Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Experience with life sciences, laboratories, healthcare, or mission-critical projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day MEP field operations and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and other building systems.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and MEP shop drawings.
• Coordinate MEP trades and resolve field conflicts.
• Work closely with Project Managers, General Superintendents, engineers, and trade partners.
• Monitor project schedule and MEP critical-path activities.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and installation.
• Lead MEP coordination meetings and track outstanding issues.
• Assist with inspections, punch list, turnover, and project closeout.
