Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical overhead work across rooms and congested spaces.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and manage activities to stay on track.
• Create site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize disruption to occupants.
• Oversee creation of the MEP punch list and ensure installation meets drawings and specs.
• Control field changes and assist with defining scopes in line with trade jurisdictions.
• Communicate with the Project Manager to resolve conflicts and minimize delays.

Barton Malow is seeking an MEP Superintendent to join our team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you'll promote and enforce a safe work environment while supervising and coordinating trade contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents. This position provides field oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors, and is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation needs of our projects, all while delivering a quality product to the owner.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce corporate safety policies in the field, holding key responsibility for jobsite safety compliance and proactive pre-task planning for all work activities.
• Supervise, coordinate, and sequence contractor work to maintain productivity and prevent conflicts between trades.
• Facilitate mechanical and electrical overhead coordination across mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and congested spaces.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and manage work to keep activities on track.
• Develop site logistics plans that maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants.
• Oversee creation and completion of the MEP punch list, ensuring installation meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes; assist with developing work scopes and front-end documents that comply with applicable trade jurisdictions.
• Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and resolve conflicts and disputes promptly to minimize delays and claims

Requirements:
