Job summary

Verrus, LLC is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent for mission critical data center projects across Texas. You will lead MEP coordination and installation from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout, working with owners and design teams on-site.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and safety programs, with responsibilities spanning coordinating trades, reviewing submittals, and ensuring successful occupancy milestones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent on large commercial or mission critical projects.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of MEP systems and the commissioning process.
• Solid scheduling, budgeting and subcontractor management skills.
• Comfortable leading field teams and dealing directly with owners and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP coordination and installation across electrical, HVAC, controls/automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage, fire/life safety and fire protection.
• Support preconstruction and project teams with trade partner proposals, schedules and logistics.
• Review MEP shop drawings and submittals.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, including tests, inspections, FAT, and integrated system testing.
• Oversee start-up, balancing, commissioning and validation through owner training and closeout.
• Create and update construction schedules and manage critical path logic to keep the project on budget.
• Develop MEP quality and safety programs for the project.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes with self-perform crews.

MEP Superintendent – Mission Critical | Texas

Location: Texas. Project sites across Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Waco

Type: Full time, on site

We’re partnered with a well-established mission critical general contractor that’s growing its team on major data center projects across Texas. They’re looking for an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead MEP coordination and installation from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading MEP coordination and installation across electrical, HVAC, controls/automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage, fire/life safety and fire protection (validated and non-validated systems)
• Supporting preconstruction and project teams with trade partner proposals, schedules and logistics
• Reviewing MEP shop drawings and submittals
• Helping build full commissioning plans, including test requirements, inspections, factory start-up, FAT, documentation and integrated system testing
• Overseeing start-up, balancing, commissioning and validation, through to owner training and project closeout
• Creating and updating construction schedules, managing critical path logic and keeping the project on budget
• Developing and running project-specific MEP quality and safety programs
• Coordinating subcontractor scopes alongside self-perform crews
• Acting as the main field contact for the owner and design team, and working with AHJs to hit occupancy milestones
• Supervising, training and developing MEP Coordinators, and helping foremen grow into future superintendents

What we’re looking for
