Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Coordinate MEP subcontractors, field teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules.
• Manage day-to-day MEP field activities on large-scale projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and coordination drawings.
• Coordinate sequencing of MEP, controls, fire protection, and other systems.
• Participate in MEP coordination meetings with PMs, engineers, commissioning, and field leadership.
• Identify constructability issues, installation conflicts, scheduling risks, and delays.
• Monitor field productivity and compliance with plans, specs, quality, and schedules.
• Support equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Maintain safety expectations and promote accountability.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, turnover docs.
• Travel to project locations as required.

Elite Executive Solutions is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Traveling MEP Superintendent to support large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the Austin, Texas market and other project locations as needed.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced field leader with a strong background coordinating complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on fast-paced construction projects.

The ideal candidate understands how to coordinate multiple MEP trades, drive field execution, manage schedules, resolve installation conflicts, and ensure critical building systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and oversight for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Coordinate MEP subcontractors, field teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Manage day-to-day MEP field activities on large-scale data center and mission-critical projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, coordination drawings, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate sequencing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire protection, and other critical systems.
• Participate in MEP coordination meetings and work closely with project management, engineering, commissioning, and field leadership.
• Identify constructability issues, installation conflicts, scheduling risks, and potential project delays.
• Monitor field productivity and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
• Support equipment delivery, installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Maintain strong safety expectations and promote a culture of accountability throughout the project.
• Coordinate inspections, punch-list activities, system completion, and turnover documentation.
• Travel to project locations as required to support current and future project needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction field leadership experience with significant exposure to MEP systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or multidisciplinary MEP construction background.
• Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or other technically complex project experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple MEP trades on large and complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, drawings, specifications, and field coordination.
• Experience supporting equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and clients.
• Ability and willingness to travel based on project requirements.
