MCGI Corp is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Manager to lead coordination, commissioning, and installation for mission critical/data center projects across Texas. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure smooth project turnover.

The role demands leadership in multi-trade coordination, preconstruction support, FAT coordination, and effective documentation.

Formación

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with strong MEP coordination background.
• Experience with mission critical or data center projects is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire/life safety, and related systems.
• Experience leading multi-trade coordination meetings and teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of construction scheduling tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day management of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety.
• Coordinate between owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Oversee planning and installation of HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Support commissioning, testing plans, and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate FAT and major equipment installation.
• Mentor MEP coordinators and engineering staff assigned to the project.
• Support preconstruction, subcontractor scoping, and procurement.
• Work with project executives and regional leadership.
• Manage field coordination with trades as needed.

Senior MEP Manager – Mission Critical / Data Center Projects

Multiple Locations Across Texas

We are currently partnering with several leading General Contractors that are actively seeking MEP Managers and MEP Coordinator to support complex commercial and mission critical/data center projects across Texas.

These firms are delivering large-scale technical facilities and high-performance buildings, and are expanding their teams to support a strong pipeline of projects.

This role is ideal for an experienced MEP professional who can lead coordination, commissioning, and installation of complex building systems from preconstruction through project turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and fire sprinkler systems
• Manage coordination between owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
• Oversee planning and installation of HVAC, controls, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems
• Support balancing, commissioning, validation, and system turnover documentation
• Assist in development and execution of MEP commissioning and integrated testing plans
• Coordinate factory start-up, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and major equipment installation
• Manage and mentor MEP coordinators and engineering staff assigned to the project
• Support preconstruction efforts, subcontractor scoping, and procurement
• Work closely with project executives, superintendents, and regional leadership teams
• Help manage field coordination with mechanical and electrical trades as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience with strong MEP coordination background
• Mission critical or data center experience is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of:
  • HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
  • Test & Balance procedures
  • Fire/life safety and fire protection systems
  • Experience managing complex coordination meetings and multi-trade teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and construction scheduling tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred but not required
