Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, analyze, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams. Excellent communication is required to interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

The role offers two levels (I and II) with compensation based on experience and location, including specific Seattle, WA adjustments. A strong emphasis on integrity, flexibility, and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with supervisory experience, preferably with a mechanical or electrical contractor.
• Ability to handle multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail oriented to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies.
• Active listening and effective communication including openness to feedback.

• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan.
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data centerprojects

• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks

• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices

• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level

• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills

• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies

• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback

MEP Superintendent I:

The base pay range for this role is $111,400 Min- $167,100 Max

MEP Superintendent II:

The base pay range for this role is $130,100 Min- $195,200 Max

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
